PROFESSIONAL AUDIO SOFTWARE
PRIVACY POLICY
Private by design.
79Signal applications are designed to process production audio on your Mac or iPad. This policy explains what the applications and this website do—and do not—collect.
Effective: 20 October 2026
Controller and contact
This policy is provided by 79Signal, operated by Bácskay Péter, 8900 Zalaegerszeg, Landorhegyi út 16A/A, Hungary. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@79signal.com.
1. 79Signal applications
Loudness Normalizer and 79Signal Player process audio and application settings locally on the Mac. 79Signal Player Lite processes audio, projects and settings locally on the iPad. 79Signal does not receive, upload or remotely analyze your audio files through these applications.
2. Data collection and tracking
The applications do not require or create a 79Signal account, do not contain advertising and do not use third-party tracking or analytics. 79Signal does not sell personal information. Because there is no 79Signal app account, there is no server-side app account or associated account data to delete.
3. Website data
This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers or marketing cookies. The hosting provider may process standard technical request information—such as IP address, browser type and request time—for delivery, reliability and security.
4. Support email
If you contact info@79signal.com, 79Signal receives the information you choose to include. It is used to answer your request, diagnose the issue and maintain relevant support records. Do not send confidential audio unless requested and authorized.
5. App Store
Apple processes App Store downloads, purchases, billing and related account information under Apple’s own privacy policy. 79Signal does not receive your complete payment-card details.
6. Disclosure and retention
79Signal does not disclose personal information except where required to provide support, operate essential service infrastructure, comply with law or protect users and services. Any service provider that processes personal information on behalf of 79Signal is required to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law.
Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, diagnose recurring issues, maintain necessary business records or comply with law. It is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed for those purposes.
79Signal Player Remote
Remote communicates with the Mac you pair on your local network using an authenticated, encrypted connection. Audio files are not transferred: audio processing and playback remain on the Mac.
The Mac shares show and cue names, timing, Notes, routing, waveform summaries and meter levels. Remote holds these data in memory, clears them on disconnect and does not send them to 79Signal servers. The pairing key is held in memory for the app session.
Optional Camera access reads the pairing QR code. Images are not recorded, stored or uploaded. You can paste a pairing key instead. Local Network permission is needed to discover and connect to the Mac. The Keep Screen Awake preference is stored locally.
Remote has no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics or 79Signal account. Apple handles downloads and diagnostics you choose to share under its own policies. Support email is handled as described above.
7. Your questions and rights
For privacy questions, or to request access, correction, restriction or deletion of information held by 79Signal, email info@79signal.com. You may also ask 79Signal to stop using support information you previously provided, where applicable. Requests are handled subject to applicable legal obligations and any information that must be retained by law.
8. Changes to this policy
This page may be updated when 79Signal products, the website or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
